VW Group pulls out of Bluetec brand alliance with DaimlerChrysler - Automobilwoche

[08/10/2007] Wolfsburg, 10 August 2007; Automobilwoche magazine reported that Volkswagen and Audi have ended plans to market DPF-equipped low emissions diesel cars in North America under the ‘Bluetec’ name they were to share with DaimlerChrysler.

Editors Note: I spoke with a representive of Volkswagen USA yesterday and was told that they will be producing their own diesel engine in Mexico for use in the Jetta and Passat models.
