BMW has expanded its M3 range with the launch of four-door version of its new M3.
This is the second body version of the M3 while cabriolet and estate models will join the line-up too in the near future.
Like its coupe sibling the M3 Sedan is powered by BMW?s 4.0-litre V8 developing maximum output of 309 kW and maximum torque of 400 Nm at 3 900 r/min.
Maximum engine speed is 8 400 r/min.
According to BMW acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 4.9 seconds while top speed is of course limited to 250 km/h. The claimed average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is 12.4 litres/100 kilometres.
The M3 comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with integrated, temperature-controlled oil cooling, two-disc clutch optimised for mass inertia.
The rest of the sedan's setup is similar to that of the coupe.
Pricing for the new BMW M3 Sedan will be announced closer to its South African launch in the first quarter of 2008.
