The W204
Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been awarded the maximum rating in Euro NCAP testing.
The sedan was awarded a five-star rating after fulfilling several of the bench-marking European New Car Assessment Programme's requirements.

Seven airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, belt force limiters and crash-responsive head restraints are listed as standard equipment.
According to the manufacturer, C-Class is also the only car in its segment to come equipped with the anticipatory Pre-Safe occupant protection system.
