Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa is extending its "Ford Protect" and "Mazda Motion" warranty plans to cover four years or 120 000 km.
"The new four-year warranty is all-inclusive - everything is covered. The only exclusions are for normal wear-and-tear and friction materials," said Nicho Le Roux, customer service operations general manager for FMCSA.
"We are now offering the most comprehensive warranty plan in South Africa, giving our customers additional peace of mind."
The warranty upgrade applies to all
Ford and
Mazda passenger and light commercial vehicles although the existing paint, perforation and five-year corrosion warranties, along with roadside assistance, remain unchanged.
Most
Ford and
Mazda passenger and commercial vehicles still have a minimum four-year/60 000 km service plan.
This can be bolstered with optional extended service plans, maintenance plans, roadside assistance and extended warranties.
