A Munich court has ruled that Chinese manufacturer Shuanghuan's CEO SUV infringes on BMW's design rights. It has banned sales of the vehicle that closely resembles BMW's X5 SUV.
BMW started legal proceedings against the Chinese manufacturer last year to stop the sales of the SUV in Germany.
The managing director of Shuanghuan's German importer, Karl Schloessl, told Automotive News Europe that although the two vehicles were different, some design elements could resemble that of other cars on the market.
